4th of July Parade Float
July 4, 2005

School Fuel was in the Novato Fourth of July Parade again this year.  Please come out to cheer us on and all the energetic students who will join our float to march/ride with us.The Parade will be back on Grant Avenue starting on Scott Court and going to 7th Street beginning at 10:00 AM. We hope to see you there! If your student would like to join us please see the flyer for information.


School Fuel at the City of Novato’s 22nd Annual Art & Wine Festival,
June 11 & 12, 2005, Downtown Novato


The community turned out for the June 11& 12 at the Novato Art & Wine Festival. This year, School Fuel joined Northbay Artworks in an interactive booth. Visitors had the opportunity to create their own reproduction of various historical scenes around Novato, which will be reassembled with other reproductions to create stunning community art.


School Fuel Art Smart Showcase, May 19 - May 26

School Fuel, in collaboration with North Bay Artworks and SchoolBux, presented the School Fuel Art Smart Showcase hosted at North Bay Artworks. Open May 19 - May 26, this gallery showing celebrated creative works produced by Novato Unified School District students. North Bay Artworks is located at 7049 Redwood Blvd, Suite 208, Novato.The gallery show was free to the public, and open weekdays 6pm - 9pm, and weekends 10am - 4pm. Selected student artworks and poetry were sold at the Showcase to benefit School Fuel.

Please join us for the Opening Reception, May 19 from 5:00pm -9:30pm, featuring displayed art, student music and refreshments donated by California Grill, and Cacti.

School Fuel Night with the Giants, April 21, 2005

Novato families turned out to watch the San Francisco Giants battle the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, April 21st at 7:15pm. Novato students performed the national anthem on the field and provide pre-game music at the SBC entry! $8 of every $20 upper deck ticket reserved through the special event registration for this Novato event went to School Fuel!


"Dare to Dream Night"; School Fuel's Annual Dinner/Dessert and Auction Fundraiser
January 29, 2005


School Fuel's Annual "Dare to Dream Night" Dinner/Dessert and Auction Fundraiser was held January 29 at Rickey's Restaurant , 250 Entrada Drive, Novato, CA 94949, 415-883-9477. It was a successful evening, raising over $14,000 for enrichment programs in Novato schools.

The "One World" & "Til Dawn" Concert on Dec. 10, 2004 at the St. Francis Church brought in $835 for School Fuel.


Matt & Jeff's Second Annual Wine and Cheese Holiday Shopping Event
Thursday, December 9, 2004, 6-9 pm


Matt & Jeff’s Hand Car Wash at Vintage Oaks hosted the Second Annual Wine and Cheese Holiday Shopping Event from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9. A percentage of merchandise sold the entire day was donated to School Fuel. Matt & Jeff donate about $2,000 a month to School Fuel (1 cent per gallon of gas sold), so please fill up your tank at their pumps at Vintage Way.


Glazy Daze School Fuel Benefit Days
Sunday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004


Glazy Daze, the new paint-your-own ceramics shop at 1133 Grant Avenue, hosted two benefits for School Fuel, and Glazy Daze donated 10 percent to School Fuel. For more information, call 898-0900.


The Novato Horsemen's donated $1000 from their haunted house in October to School Fuel!

Hamilton Café’s grand opening benefited School Fuel on October 19, 2004 raising $137.


Petaluma Plaza donated $5 to School Fuel for each flyer turned in thru Oct. 4.


Pleasant Valley School held a garage sale in September benefit School Fuel.


Dr. Mozayani - Marin Eye Care in Pacheco Plaza
Special limited time promotion


Dr. Mozayani of Marin Eye Care in Pacheco Plaza is donating 10% of the proceeds from her practice (service and products) for the next month to School Fuel. Please call 883-9888 for more information.


"Trailer Trash",  A "TheatreNOW" production (former and present educators and students of the Novato Public schools). September 3 - 25, 2004. Theater Now will donate $4 of every adult ticket sold for shows on Sept. 10, 11, 12 & 19.

TheatreNOW describes this as a family production which alludes to the fact that everyone is the same and we all have the same dreams and problems, no matter who we are. Click here for the flyer and here for the ticket order form.

Novato Young Artists Fundraiser at the City of Novato’s 21st Annual Art & Music Festival,

The June 12 & 13 Novato Art, Wine and Music Festival School Fuel booth was successful selling donated student art, generating $1,030 for Art in our public schools. Fitwize 4 Kids limited promotion
May 17-June 10, 2004


Fitwize for Kids will donate $5 to School Fuel for every new six-month membership from May 17 to June 10, 2004 if School Fuel is mentioned when you sign up. Fitwize 4 Kids is located at 123 San Marin Drive, Novato, 415-897-2846.


PHONE BANK
April 7, 2004

School Fuel volunteers called community members to remind them to donate to School Fuel. The April 7th phone bank was successful in reaching many previous contributors to our public schools to urge them to continue their support by donating to School Fuel.


DINE OUT FOR SCHOOL FUEL
March 15-18, 2004


Dine Out for School Fuel was a great spirit booster and brought in approximately $2000. Thank you to all the participating restaurants! Orsi's, Hilltop, Cacti, and Pietro's were only a few of the restaurants that donated 5% of qualifying meals from March 15 to 18, 2004. Click here to see a complete list of participating restaurants. NOVATO ADVANCE SUBSCRIPTION DONATION DRIVE
Through March 12, 2004


The Novato Advance donated $25 of every new one year $41 subscription to the newspaper made from early February through March 12, 2004. Thank you to the Novato Advance for raising $850 for our schools with this event and for the advertising space The Novato Advance has donated to School Fuel this spring.


Rickey's Restaurant GRAND OPENING EVENT

Rickey's Restaurant held a Grand Opening Event which donated $5,000 to School Fuel. Rickey’s is located at 250 Entrada Drive, Novato, CA 94949, 415-883-9477.

Sustaining Donors Appeal
December 2003

Our Sustaining Donors program benefitted from the city-wide mailing we sent out in Dec. 2003 and the school flyer we sent out in January.


Matt & Jeff's WINE AND CHEESE
Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, 6-9pm

School Fuel was officially launched Thursday, Dec. 4 at Matt & Jeff’s Hand Car Wash. Dozens of school supporters purchased holiday items from Matt & Jeff’s gift shop. The business donated 20 percent of gift shop sales between 6 and 9pm to School Fuel which equaled $1,100 for the new foundation. Jeff Coplin, co-owner of Matt & Jeff’s, also gave School Fuel Board President Jeff Belingheri a check for $2,000 from November’s gas sales. The business is donating 1 cent per gallon of gas to School Fuel.
