September:

September 29 – Rock 'n' Blues By the Lake - Come visit the School Fuel booths at Stafford Lake, 10:00am to 7:30pm!

October:

October 8 – Candidates Forum - CANCELLED

October 26 – Giving Campaign Kick-Off - Help School Fuel kickoff its annual contribution campaign on Friday, October 26, 2007.  Wear black and gold to school as part of the School Fuel Spirit Day, and then come to the Kick-off Party at the NUSD parking lot (7th Street and Grant Avenue) from 5:00 to 7:00pm for a barbeque and free tour of the HAUNTED SCHOOL BUS. Halloween costumes are optional, but welcome!  Anyone wishing to help “haunt” the school bus should contact Sarah Sangster at ssangster@nfpe.org. This is a great, fun way to become involved with School Fuel and support the foundation as we raise money for Novato Schools.

November:

November 15 – Matt & Jeff's 5th Annual Wine and Cheese Holiday Shopping Event - Enjoy wine and cheese while you get your holiday shopping done at Matt & Jeff’s. 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to School Fuel. Remember to support the businesses that support Novato’s community.

January:

January 26 – Paint the Town Red & Citizen of the Year - http://www.paintthetownred.org/ - School Fuel will organize the silent auction for this event honoring the 2008 Citizen and Businesses of the Year. Dinner, music and auction will take place at the Fireman's Fund headquarters.

March:

March 7 thru 16 – 4th Annual Art Smart Showcase - A gallery of creative works produced by Novato students on display at Northbay ArtWorks: 7049 Redwood Blvd, 415-892-8188. Student readings and music will be featured as well. For more information, or to download an entry form, click here.

April:

April 26 – 2nd Annual Cycling for Schools - This family fun event includes a bike rally to Stafford Lake and a carnival at San Marin High School, featuring a bike antigravity show, pedal-power-blended smoothies, and safety and wellness information. NUSD schools will sponsor game and activity booths as well. View the event schedule and register here.

June:

June 28 – Walk for Schools - The event will begin near Grant Avenue and 7th Street, and includes routes of 2, 4, or 6 miles around downtown Novato. For more information, see the registration form.

July:

July 4 – Race and Fun Run - The Tamalpa Runner’s club has organized an early morning event in cooperation with School Fuel to support local schools.  See http://www.tamalparunners.org for more information and to register online for the race or walk.

July 4 – Novato 4th of July Parade Float - Novato Unified School District and School Fuel are working on a combined Novato Schools entry in the parade. Every student, staff, or family member is welcome to join the contingent.  If you have questions or ideas, please call Susan Mathews at 209-9616.

August:

August 22 – A Midsummer Night's Dream - North Bay Shakespeare Company presents a special School Fuel benefit performance at Hamilton Amphitheatre. Fifty percent of ticket proceeds will go to School Fuel.  Picnic area opens at 6:00, and the show begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now.
